Abstract

Digital transformation has been a key driver of change in the modern banking industry, encouraging financial institutions to adapt to the demands of efficiency and service innovation. This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital banking adoption, service efficiency, and banking financial performance through a literature review approach that examines various academic literature in the last five years. The results of the study show that digital banking contributes significantly to improving operational efficiency through process automation, data integration, and reduced transaction costs. In addition, digitalization strengthens competitiveness and expands access to services for customers. However, its impact on financial performance is not always immediate as it relies heavily on organizational readiness, data security, technology infrastructure, and the quality of customer experience. Service efficiency is proving to be an important mediating variable that bridges technology adoption with increased profitability. Thus, the success of banking's digital transformation requires adaptive regulatory support, strong risk governance, and continuous innovation to create competitive advantage and sustainable growth
