Digital transformation has significantly changed the landscape of the financial industry through the integration of information and communication technologies in all aspects of financial institution operations. This research aims to analyze various challenges and risk management strategies faced by financial institutions in the midst of accelerating digitalization, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic which accelerated the adoption of digital services. Using a literature study method on various studies, scientific reports, and academic publications over the past five-year period, this study highlights that digitalization not only improves financial efficiency and inclusion, but also expands potential cyber, operational, compliance, and reputational risks. The results of the study show that the success of digital transformation requires a balance between technological innovation, effective risk management, and regulations that are adaptive to the times. In addition, close collaboration between financial institutions, regulators, technology providers, and the user community is needed to maintain stability and trust in the digital financial system. These findings confirm that digitalization is not only a technological process, but also a paradigm shift in governance and organizational culture oriented towards security, transparency, inclusivity, and long-term sustainability
