Effectiveness and Urgency of Regulation in Modern Social Dynamics

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and urgency of regulation in addressing ever-evolving social dynamics. Rapid changes in social, technological, and institutional aspects demand regulations that are adaptive and responsive to the needs of society. This study employs a sociological approach using qualitative methods through a literature review of various scientific sources and relevant regulations. The results indicate that the effectiveness of regulations is influenced by structural and cultural factors, as well as the alignment between the substance of the rules and social conditions. Additionally, public participation and the consistency of law enforcement are also critical factors in supporting regulatory implementation. On the other hand, the urgency of regulatory discussions is increasing due to technological advancements, globalization, and the need for legal certainty. Regulations that are not periodically updated risk losing their relevance and failing to address existing challenges. Therefore, a comprehensive and sustainable approach is needed in formulating and evaluating regulations. This study is expected to provide a conceptual contribution to understanding the strategic role of regulations and to serve as a foundation for developing policies that are more adaptive and responsive to modern social changes.
